A requirement by CFR 40 257 & 248 for a Class II landfill is to conduct random load inspections. GSWMD uses software to randomly select customers for a load inspection to comply with those regulations. Customers must comply with the inspection or they cannot dump and need to leave the landfill. This operational requirement included in our Operational Manual protects the health and safety of the people and helps protect the environment by catching illegal hazardous waste dumping at the landfill.
